CHIWEGA WARNS MNNANGAGWA’S FRIENDS: YOUR DAY IS COMING

Zimbabwe is not at peace. Even if there is no war in the streets, there is a war inside ZANU PF. There is a big fight between Vice-President Chiwenga and President Mnangagwa’s close friends. This fight is not small. It is about who will take over when Mnangagwa is gone. It is about power. It is about money. It is about the army.
Chiwenga has come out again with strong words. He called Mnangagwa’s friends “zvigananda” which means greedy and heartless people. He warned them that their day is coming. He said they will face justice, and they cannot run forever. This is not the first time Chiwenga has spoken like this. But this time, his words are stronger. It shows he is ready to fight again.
Inside ZANU PF, the fight for power is getting worse. Mnangagwa’s group is using money to try and win. They are supporting a rich businessman called Kudakwashe Tagwirei. They want Tagwirei to be the next leader after Mnangagwa. Tagwirei is now everywhere. He is using his money to win hearts. He is meeting people. He is becoming more powerful.
But Chiwenga is not happy with this. He has gone quiet for now, but it is not because he is weak. He is planning. He is waiting. When the time is right, he will strike back. That is what his team is saying. They believe the real power is in the army, not in money. And that is where the big fight will be decided.
There is another man people are watching. His name is General Philip Valerio Sibanda. He is the head of the army now. Some people say he might be the next leader too. Some say he is the only one who can stop Chiwenga. Others say he is the one the army trusts more. This makes him a key player.
In Zimbabwe, the army is not just for protecting the country. It is also used in politics. The army has always been important in choosing leaders. Even in 2017, the army removed Mugabe. They helped Mnangagwa become president. So whoever controls the army now, controls the future of the country. This is very dangerous for democracy.
Politics in Zimbabwe is now full of military power. The soldiers are more powerful than the voters. This started a long time ago during the liberation war. After independence, the army did not go back to the barracks. They stayed in politics. They became ministers. They ran state companies. Now they are deciding who becomes president.
This is a problem. It kills democracy. It stops free and fair elections. It creates fear. It makes people think that voting does not matter anymore. If the army will always choose the leader, then why do we vote?
Chiwenga’s warning is not just words. It shows us that Zimbabwe is not stable. Even the people in power are afraid of each other. They are fighting. And when the powerful fight, it is always the poor who suffer the most.
We must not forget that while they fight for power, people are hungry. There is no clean water. There is no medicine in hospitals. There are no jobs. Prices are going up. The Zimbabwean dollar is dying. But the leaders are busy fighting over who will be president next.
Zimbabwe needs peace. Zimbabwe needs democracy. Zimbabwe needs leaders who care about the people, not just about power and money. Until that happens, nothing will change. The people will continue to suffer while the powerful fight.
Chiwenga has spoken. Now we wait to see what happens next. But the truth is clear: Zimbabwe is in a silent war. And the people are the ones paying the price.
