Gift Ostallos Siziba, the official mouthpiece for CCC, elucidated, \u201cIt has surfaced to the awareness of the Citizens Coalition for Change that letters, ostensibly penned by an individual claiming to be the interim Secretary-General, are circulating on social media asserting that the Citizens\u2019 Movement has recalled named councillors and Members of Parliament.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He proceeded, \u201cThe general public is counseled to dismiss these with the disdain they merit. The CCC party has neither recalled nor does it envisage recalling any of its newly elected representatives. The alleged author of the two letters, Sengezo Tshabangu, has never been a member or official of the CCC party since its commencement. His last known allegiances lie with the MDC-T and PDP, and he is infamous for acting as a proxy to field fake CCC double candidates in Bulawayo and Matebeleland North.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Siziba emphasized the party\u2019s position, stating that actions are being taken against this impostor and his associates. This reprehensible act by Zanu PF, as they see it, is a retort to their 2023 electoral defeat and Zimbabwe\u2019s rejection, and a feeble effort to counter their exercise of freedom of association by abstaining from the official parliament opening on October 3, 2023. He urged their representatives in local authorities and parliament to continue fulfilling their duties as dictated by the electorate in the recent elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
