EMMERSON MNANGAGWA MUST BE STOPPED BEFORE HE DESTROYS ZIMBABWE COMPLETELY

President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government has once again shown its true colors. This time, they have arrested a respected journalist, Faith Zaba, the editor of the Zimbabwe Independent newspaper. Her crime? Writing the truth and refusing to bow down to the lies of the regime. She is being charged with “undermining the authority of the President.” But let’s be clear — it is not about the law. It is about fear. It is about trying to silence anyone who speaks out.

Civil society activist Obert Masaraure has spoken up strongly. He has faced arrests himself many times. He knows what it means to fight for freedom. And now he is standing up for Faith Zaba and for all of us. He said loud and clear, “No Mnangagwa! Stop it! Zimbabwe is not your tuckshop!”

Mnangagwa wants the media to be silent while the country is robbed. He wants them to ignore the corruption. He wants them to look away from the suffering caused by unfairness, greed, and bad leadership. He wants to rule like a king, not a president. But Zimbabwe is not a kingdom. It is a country where people fought hard to be free.

Masaraure is right. Mnangagwa wants a media that hides the truth. He wants journalists who praise him even when he fails. But this must stop. The people must come together and push back. If we stay quiet, we are helping him destroy our home.

We must stand up now, not tomorrow. This is a call to all Zimbabweans who care about our future. Civil society, trade unions, churches, women’s groups, students, vendors, opposition parties — everyone must unite. We must come together, plan together, and act together.

Masaraure reminded us that Zimbabwe’s state institutions are becoming worse than what we had in Rhodesia. That is a heavy thing to say, but it is true. Every day that passes with no resistance is a day we dishonor those who died for this country. People like Joshua Nkomo and many others did not suffer and die so that a new dictator can take over.

We also speak now to people working inside government offices and state institutions. You do not have to follow wrong orders. If you are told to go against the people, say no. Today you may feel safe, but one day the same system will crush you too. The same courts you help corrupt will turn against you. The same police force you use to arrest others will arrest you.

This is not just about one journalist. It is about all of us. Today it is Faith Zaba. Tomorrow it could be you, your family, your child. We must stop this madness. Zimbabwe needs healing. Zimbabwe needs justice.

We were all part of the mess of 2017. The coup, the promises, the lies. We believed change was coming. But now we see the truth. We were fooled. Mnangagwa has failed. He has betrayed the people. He has betrayed the country.

We must come together again — just like we did in 2017 — but this time, to fix the mistake. Let the people rise. Let the truth be heard. Let the chains be broken. The time is now. Enough is enough. Mnangagwa must go.
