TRUMP COULD BAN ZIMBABWE DELEGATION FROM UN MEETING IN NEW YORK
United States President Donald Trump might block Zimbabwe from attending a big United Nations meeting in New York this month. A report from the US State Department says Zimbabwe is one of the countries that could be stopped from entering the US for the summit.
The meeting is called the United Nations General Assembly. It will start on Tuesday, September 23, and end on Monday, September 29. This is the 80th edition of the UN meeting. The theme this year is “Better Together: 80 years and more for peace, development and human rights.”
Zimbabwe is not the only country that might be blocked. Iran, Sudan, and Brazil are also on the list. This is not the first time the US has done something like this. In 1988, the US government stopped Yasser Arafat, the leader of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation, from coming to New York for a UN meeting. But this time it is worse.
